Many of us have a “hit the ground running” attitude towards Monday. We believe it sets the tone for the week, that opportunities are endless, and we have a general enthusiasm for what’s to come.
Then, as the week progresses, somewhere along the way we get off track. Our intentions for the week were good, but our actions no longer align with our goal. By the time we reach Thursday, we have thrown the whole week away, with a plan to start fresh again the next Monday.
But what if I told you that your plan sucks? If you find yourself having to start over every week, are you really following a plan? Is that plan effective? Are you any closer to your goal this Monday than you were last Monday?
Honestly evaluate your goals vs. your actions. And if your actions are not aligning with your goals, you need to change your plan. No matter how great the plan sounds on paper, if it’s not helping you get to your end goal, what’s the point?
Take some time to sit down and evaluate what adjustments need to be made to realistically get you from point A to point B, even if it requires more steps to get there.
No more one step forward and two steps back. Think about it. Even taking half a step forward will get you there quicker if done consistently without repeatedly moving backwards or not moving at all.
So this week, no more wasted steps. Change your plan so that each step counts. Your goal is still attainable. You just need a new plan to help you get there!

Great read! I’ve been struggling with too many “start over Mondays”. Time to reevaluate.
