Hey, I’m Joy Diggs, and I’ve spent the past 10 years helping people prioritize their health and improve their quality of life!
I’m a personal trainer and registered dietitian located in Houston, Texas. I own Digg Deep Fitness & Nutrition, where I push my clients to become their best, stressing the importance of proper nutrition and exercise.
While I’m a huge advocate for health, I believe there’s always room for chocolate! Though I say that jokingly, I am a big believer in balancing fitness and fun. Health should not be boring and bland. We have to learn how to modify our behaviors so that we leave a little room for LIFE in our pursuit of a healthy lifestyle.
Health has been a passion of mine for most of my life. Growing up active in team sports, I developed an interest in health and the human body. I attended University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, receiving a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. I then completed a Master of Science in Nutrition and became a registered dietitian. I am also a certified personal trainer and certified weight loss specialist.
A big part of my message includes my personal approach to life. I believe that we all have the capacity to thrive and achieve our wildest dreams, but we often remain in a place that is comfortable and complacent.
Digging deep is about pushing through comfort zones, overcoming obstacles and barriers, and leaving ourselves completely open to becoming our best selves. I believe that having optimal health is a necessary part of that process. When you look and feel great, it truly impacts all other areas of your life.
A quote that I live by is: “It’s not who you are that holds you back. It’s who you think you’re not.” My goal is to challenge you to dream big, live with purpose, and choose health along the way!
