I hate to say it, but it’s true.
It’s an interesting conundrum.
We will see someone making progress, ask them for advice, and then do something totally different. Why!?
Why do we think we are so different that what works for them won’t work for us?
And while that person continues making more progress, we’re still doing everything else except what they advised in the first place. Does that make any sense?
But you know why we do it?
Because “what works” is normally challenging.
“What works” requires us to step outside our comfort zone.
“What works” stretches us beyond our current state and causes us to become something more in the process.
“What works” helps us grow into the person we want to become.
As they say, what got you here won’t get you there.
This week, step outside your comfort zone and implement that advice that you wrote off a long time ago. The one you just knew wouldn’t work for you, even though you never tried it. The one you thought was way too much work or required you to step up your intensity.
This week, let’s stretch ourselves and push past who we are today to grow towards who we want to become!
